Replacement cost vs. actual cash value — what's the difference and why does it matter when I have a claim? This can make a major difference in how much you receive after a covered claim. Why does this matter? A policy with a lower annual cost isn't necessarily providing the same protection. Two Homeowners policies can look similar until you compare how the roof, personal property, or other damaged property will actually be settled at claim time.

Simple example: Suppose a covered storm damages a roof and replacing it costs $30,000. If the roof has $15,000 of applicable reduced value due to age and condition, an ACV claim payment could be based on $15,000, before the deductible. With replacement-cost coverage, the policy may ultimately cover the eligible replacement cost, less the deductible, provided the policy's requirements are satisfied.

At Dan Reichert State Farm in Arden Hills, Minnesota, we believe insurance is about more than policies. It’s about helping people make informed decisions and treating every customer the way I would treat my own mother. I began my State Farm career as a team member in June 2012 and opened my own agency in June 2017. With more than a decade of insurance experience, I am passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners understand their coverage options. I've always had an entrepreneurial mindset, and I enjoy building a business through knowledgeable team members, exceptional customer service, and lasting relationships within our community.

My roots run deep in Arden Hills and Shoreview. I graduated from Mounds View High School and grew up in the same community where my office is located today. Outside the office, I stay involved in the local community and area sports programs, including coaching varsity baseball at a local high school.

Family is an important part of my life. My wife, Bri, and I were married in 2019, and we are raising our two children, Quinn and Hunter, along with our yellow Lab, Scout. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy hunting, fishing, following sports, and spending time with my family.

You'll find our office in Arden Hills on the southwest corner of Interstate 694 and Lexington Avenue, directly across Lexington Avenue from Target. We're proud to serve customers in Arden Hills, Shoreview, New Brighton, Roseville, and surrounding Twin Cities communities.

Our agency serves customers throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and South Dakota. We assist with Auto Insurance, Homeowners Insurance, Renters Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Farm/Ranch Insurance, and Business insurance. Our multilingual team can assist customers in English, American Sign Language (ASL), German, and Russian.
